LORIE RUBENSER is associate professor of criminal justice at Sul Ross State University and the author of several articles and chapters on policing and special units. GLORIA PRIDDY has taught criminal justice courses at Angelo State University and currently teaches online at Sul Ross State University. She has published on Texas Rangers and constables.

Quick, interesting read

I didn't expect much when purchasing this e-book; I thought it would have a high-school-textbook writing style and content that could be found mostly on the internet. I was pleasantly surprised, however: It contained some very interesting information on little-known aspects of Texas law enforcement gathered by more than just Google. If you are teaching or taking the Basic Peace Officer Course (BPOC), this will give you insight into some of those obscure agencies identified in CCP § 2.12. It's a good source to compliment learning about Texas law enforcement.
