About the Author
JENNIFER BROWN completed her PhD in English literature in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2010. She has been a teacher of English language and literature for nine years, teaching in Ireland, Spain and Italy. She has presented at the International Gothic Association conference and published reviews with the Irish Journal of Gothic and Horror Studies.

This book is easy to read and easy to understand

This is a well written book on the subject matter of cannibalism in literature and film. It delves into the symbolism as well as literal uses of cannibalism in story forms in both books and movies. This book has a healthy amount of footnotes to support these ideas. Which was exactly what I was looking for. This is' above par' in the usual college books (these tends to run dry and sterile in the subject matter...) This book is easy to read and easy to understand the points that the author is getting across. Since this book was apparently meant for college courses it has a hefty price tag ($90.00+). I got mine used, but still a bit pricey (nearly $50.00!)
