About the Author
Dr. Fisch is a board certified neurologist who teaches neuroanatomy to medical students, residents, and fellows at Washington University in St. Louis and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania, his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and did his neurology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Fisch's mentor in neuroanatomy, the late William DeMyer, MD, from the Indiana University School of Medicine, strongly believed: if you can't draw it, you don't know it.

Good for comprehension, but not a substitute for an atlas.

It is good for understanding concepts, since it gives you a way to draw neurological system conceptually, but it is not a substitute for an atlas.

Money well spent!

As a current med student, I was really struggling with remembering, and more importantly, understanding neuroanatomy before getting this book.
The Draw It to Know It process helped me achieve a deeper understanding of the subject matter, pushing me past the superficial knowledge of rote memorization to that place of actual comprehension and understanding.
I'm really glad I found it! Well worth the money!

Med Students Rejoice

Thank you Dr. Fisch for finally putting out something that ACTUALLY helps with neuroanatomy. Having struggled through neuro during my first year of med school, I was looking for a way to beef up my board knowledge for the USMLE. This book was the perfect companion, and it's something I wish I had bought first year (MS1) during my neuro course. It's quick, straightforward, and is a huge help for those who are visual learners. The basal ganglia and brachial plexus sections were particularly useful. Just buy it. Very helpful.
